Welcome to our parent community! Below you will find practical guidance on how to effectively connect with our staff, resolve concerns, and get involved with the school.
How Do I Contact My Child’s Teacher?
While formal Parent-Teacher Conferences are held every November and March, you are welcome to reach out to your child’s teacher at any time. To schedule a meeting, please send a note to school with your child, call the main office, or send an email.
To help the teacher coordinate a mutually convenient time, please include the following in your request:
- Your name and your child’s name and class.
- The specific topic or issue you would like to discuss.
- Your preferred contact information (phone number or email).
- The days and times you are most available to meet.
How Do I Handle School or Classroom Concerns?
We want to address your concerns quickly and effectively. To ensure all students remain safe and supervised, please do not speak with teachers during morning lineup or dismissal. During these times, teachers cannot give you their undivided attention.
If you have a concern, please use the following step-by-step approach:
- Classroom-Specific Issues: Always speak directly with your child’s teacher first.
- General School Issues: Contact our Parent Coordinator via phone, email, or a written note.
- Unresolved Issues: If a concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, contact the School Secretary to arrange a meeting with an administrator, or reach out to them directly via email:

Smart Parent Tip: Keep a personal log of all school meetings. Note the dates, times, attendees, what was discussed, and the agreed-upon action plan.
How Can I Meet Other Parents?
Getting involved is the best way to build community and support your child’s education! Here are a few great ways to connect:
- Attend Monthly PTA Meetings: Meetings run from September through May. Keep an eye out for flyers and digital notices regarding upcoming general and special meeting dates.
- Become a “Class Parent”: Help facilitate communication between the teacher and classroom families.
- Volunteer for Events: Join various PTA committees and school activities throughout the year.
- Leader In Me Parent Lighthouse: Join us monthly for our House meetings and be a leadership role model for our students.
